Shellie Clark

Hello My Name Is...

Shellie Clark

My name is Shellie Clark. This is my eleventh year at Dunbar Primary School and my seventh year as a teacher for children with autism. I have a Master’s degree from West Virginia University in special education and am a National Board Certified Teacher. I am originally from Kentucky, so I love Wildcat basketball. I am an avid runner and love spending time outdoors with my family. My family lives in South Charleston. My husband Scott and I have married for 26 years. My husband and I have three wonderful children. We enjoy visiting the WV mountains and are active in our church. I truly feel that I have the best job in the world. I love coming to work everyday. I look at my students and I see kiddos who are capable and competent. I want each of my students to succeed to their highest potential. I try to teach by the words of Temple Grandin when she said, "There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what he cannot do.” I love my students and believe they are capable of mighty and amazing things. You can contact me via Schoology, email or by calling the school.
